Enjoyed some fresh picked green tea at Cincinnati’s Eden Park. Once again, a tea from Verdant Tea, their Laoshan 2013 Spring Green. Steep after steep, feeling the heat from the tea (a different kind of heat than the sun’s!)
It’s a treat being around nature, animals, flowers and trees, seeing sunlight reflecting through the tea. Everything around seems more peaceful with the mind slowed down from making the tea. Enjoy the photos :)
All the essentials: fresh strawberries, fresh tea, hot water.
A bamboo scoop my friend, Alistair made for me.
The wiry, fresh smelling leaves.
Set against nature, setting up teaware gives a feeling of being in a cocoon, all the while being right in the middle of the park.
The first steep. Admiring the leaves slowly rising and falling.
Packing up to go back. Feeling the heat from the sun, but an inner heat from the tea. Feeling still, peaceful, content. Even going alone, people would stop by and chat about anything. The presence of tea and teaware always seem to create a peaceful frame of mind and conversation.
